JACQUI GOODWIN
Embracing the thrill of change, Jacqui's life has been a roller-coaster of diversity. An early passion for marine biology, with a focus on dolphins and whales, resulted in a long academic career at the cutting edge of genetic research and earned her a hard won doctorate in Biotechnology. Disillusioned with academia, Jacqui served a short spell in the corporate world until some esoteric soul searching finally led her to the world of tourism, starting with a short period of guiding, interrupted by a sojourn back to the office in a tourism consultancy. Perhaps strangely, it is as a guide that Jacqui has found her home - a place where her sparkling intellect and vivacious personality can make a small but meaningful contribution to the lives of the people she meets.
Broad travel experience and detailed product knowledge makes Jacqui an invaluable resource when planning an itinerary, but as a keen cyclist Jacqui prefers active touring and in particular, bicycling vacations. However, her passion for the natural environment, depth of general knowledge and ability to blend information with entertainment has made Jacqui a popular choice with high end tour operators and you will often find her touring all over Africa with small exclusive groups.
